See What Users Actually Do on Your Website

Heatmaps provide visual representations of how users interact with your website. They show where people click, how far they scroll, where they hover their mouse, and which elements get attention. This data reveals optimization opportunities that analytics alone can’t surface.

Types of Heatmaps

Click Heatmaps

Show where users click (or tap on mobile). Discover which elements get the most interaction, whether users click on non-clickable elements (indicating confusion), and if important CTAs are being ignored.

Scroll Heatmaps

Show how far down the page users scroll. If only 20% of visitors reach your CTA at the bottom of the page, you need to move it up. Scroll heatmaps reveal the ideal content length and CTA placement for each page.

Move/Hover Heatmaps

Track where users move their mouse (desktop) or hover. Mouse movement correlates with eye tracking, revealing which content gets visual attention and which is ignored.

Session Recordings

Beyond heatmaps, session recording tools show individual user sessions as video replays. Watch real users navigate your site to identify usability issues, confusion points, and drop-off moments.

Acting on Heatmap Data

  • Move CTAs to high-attention areas identified by heatmaps
  • Remove or redesign elements that get no interaction
  • Shorten pages where scroll depth drops off significantly
  • Fix navigation confusion revealed by rage clicks
  • Optimize form layouts based on interaction patterns
