Cloaking

Cloaking is the deceptive practice of showing different content to search engines than what human visitors see. This black-hat technique attempts to manipulate rankings by presenting keyword-rich, algorithm-friendly content to crawlers while delivering different (often less relevant) material to users. Search engines explicitly prohibit cloaking and actively penalize sites employing this tactic, potentially resulting in complete removal from search results.
