Know the Difference Between UX and UI Design

Well, let’s first find out the basic difference between UX and UI design. In brevity, the UX or the ‘User Experience’ is your experience and the feel that the site evokes when maneuvering through a website.  The UI or ‘User Interface’ is when you are on a website, and the process of actually interacting with the functionality that is within the site. This means that the user interface is the actual system that you interact with.

The reason that they are so often confused, is because creating an effortless user experience cannot happen without proper investment in a reliable and streamlined user interface. Like UX design, UI Design is a multi-faceted and challenging role. It’s responsible for the transference of a product’s development, research, content and layout while providing an attractive, guiding and responsive experience for all users.

As quoted by designer and expert, Helga Moreno:

“Something that looks great but is difficult to use is exemplary of great UI and poor UX. While something very usable that looks terrible is exemplary of great UX and poor UI.”
